There are so many reasons we’re excited for this breeding. We confirmed pregnancy last week and did it again this week just to be sure.

Hmm let’s see, for one.. This is the first litter we have coming off Santana. Santana was born in Washington state and bred by Amy Blackwell at Blackwell American Bulldogs. Amy has produced the only TRI-colored/patterned American Bulldogs in the US. There are few in Russia from the same bloodlines. Santana, as of now, is the only American Bulldog Stud to walk the Earth, the rest are female. We also have his sister Maria.

What we love about Santana. Santana will be 2yrs old in a few months. So if you know big tall dogs, you know he is still growing, he is still a baby. Dogs like this grow their full height by a year old, and every minute and every month after that they are packing on bone mass and muscle. There are some months in there where American Bulldogs and even Olde English Bulldogges are hard to look it. Often referred to as the ‘gangly’ stage. It can get embarrassing, we hardly ever post pictures during these transitions, but we did with Santana. He has always been a beautiful creature, and even if he was dorky, if you have an eye for a dog, you can see what he will bring to the table.

So yes, Santana is an American Bulldog, but we are using him in our Olde English Bulldogge program. If you are not familiar with “foundation” or “generational” breedings… it goes like this. And OEB x OEB for several years is considered a generational Olde English Bulldogge. We, however, do not put much weight or importance to that word on their pieces of paper. To us, we don’t think our breed is far along enough to be hung up on “generational” or purebred for that instance. Our sole mission is to create badass bulldogs and family members. Not what their papers say.. So with all that said, this is an OEB breeding. Our puppies are Olde English Bulldogs, not American Bulldogs.

Americans are great, we just don’t breed them. We love our Oldies.

Santana comes from generations and generations of EXCELLENT HIPS! This is one of the reasons why we bring in so many Americans in our program. Santana has an amazing gorgeous headpiece, can’t wait to have little ones like him running around. And of course, Santana is tri. Everybody loves tri, everybody loves chocolate too. Although I doubt Blaze carries the tri gene, all the puppies will carry the gene. So we’ll be adding more color carries with so many great attributes to our program. Santana has great structure too. He is a beautiful representation of the breed. Great rear, super upright shoulders (another reason we use Americans).

Now let’s talk BLAZE. OMG I’m just so excited she’s here. There are so many nice dogs behind her that I love so much. These dogs were some of the first Olde English Bulldogges in my young breeding career. There is a story, a little bit of legacy behind every one of them. To keep it simple, THEY ARE FIRST AND FOREMOST… BULLDOGS.. You can see a mile away that Blaze is a bulldog. This is VITAL to any Olde English Bulldogge program. What is the point of creating Chevy Brancos, if they look like sports cars? And then demanding the world agree, yes they’re Broncos.. So first and foremost,, they must look like bulldogs. This is a fine line, you want them to look like bulldogs, but they need to look like Oldies, not English. They need to be able to breathe, to walk to play and be a great pet. So there’s give and take, we have to keep adding size and function. Hence this breeding.

Blaze has excellent bulldog type, she has also naturally whelped some amazing bulldogs too. She has so much to offer to a program but will much benefit by Santana’s powerful rear, upright shoulders. She has the ribcage, the face, the muzzle type. She carries blue, Santana does not. So some of these puppies will be triple carriers. But I doubt we’ll know who. We pick our pups based on which brings what we are looking for to the table, not by which color they carry. This could be one the largest reasons that a breeding program can fall out of the rankings. They continually pick on color or what sells and always sacrifice everything else. Well guess what, everyone and their momma has color now, very few kennels have excellent dogs.

AS THESE PUPPIES DROP we will be blowing up the internet.. HOW SHOULD WE NAME THIS LITTER?…

To place a deposit/reserve a puppy.. contact asap. We will not be holding spots on a promise.
