More Than a Ribbon

Our experience as breeders shapes the way we judge.

Every litter teaches us something. Every generation challenges us to improve. Standing in the center of the ring allows us to appreciate not only the finished dogs before us, but the breeders, owners, handlers, and families who made them possible.

We believe good judging should inspire breeders, reward quality, and encourage the continued preservation of healthy, capable dogs.

Judging is one of the greatest honors we've been entrusted with.

As licensed ABKC Conformation Judges, Chris and Gina have had the privilege of evaluating dogs across the United States and internationally. Every assignment is an opportunity to celebrate the breeds we love while helping preserve the standards that define them.

For us, judging has never been about finding the flashiest dog in the ring. It's about recognizing correct breed type, sound structure, athletic movement, stable temperament, and the countless decisions breeders have made over generations to produce quality dogs.

Every exhibitor brings years of planning, dedication, and hope into the ring. We respect that responsibility and strive to evaluate every dog fairly, consistently, and according to the written breed standard.

We don't judge dogs against one another.

We judge each dog against its breed standard.

The ABKC

The American Bully Kennel Club (ABKC) is one of the world's leading registries for the American Bully and also recognizes several bulldog and bully breeds, including the Olde English Bulldogge.

Through conformation events, the ABKC provides breeders and exhibitors an opportunity to have their dogs evaluated against established breed standards. Championship titles recognize dogs that consistently demonstrate quality, breed type, structure, movement, and temperament.

As ABKC judges, we're proud to contribute to that process by evaluating every dog with fairness, consistency, and respect for the breeds we serve.

Why We Became Judges

We didn't become judges because we wanted another title.

We became judges because we believe the Olde English Bulldogge deserves to be taken seriously.

For years, we watched dedicated breeders pour their hearts into preserving correct breed type, sound structure, and capable dogs. We wanted to be part of the solution—not just from outside the ring, but from the center of it.

Judging gave us a voice. It gave us the opportunity to advocate for our breed, to have meaningful conversations with fellow judges, and to help ensure the Olde English Bulldogge is evaluated with the same respect and attention as every other breed.

Every assignment is a chance to reward quality, encourage thoughtful breeding, and contribute to the future of the dogs we love.

Beyond Borders

Bulldogs speak a universal language.

From local shows across the United States to assignments in South America and Europe, we've had the privilege of judging incredible dogs and meeting passionate breeders from around the world.

Every invitation is an honor. Every country teaches us something new. And every assignment reinforces what we've always believed—that great dogs can come from anywhere, but integrity, breed type, and sportsmanship should always be recognized.

We're grateful for every opportunity to represent the Olde English Bulldogge on an international stage, and we're excited for the journey that's still ahead.

This was my first attempt at judging, at 2023 THE BEAST.. I judged King of the Ring.. Where all 3 Best In Show winners go head to head! It was such a magical day!
